Well, whatever you do, don't waste your money on that Abreeva crap... It doesn't work and it costs like $11 for this tiny tube. I just use regular chapstick to keep it moist so it doesn't feel like it's cracking whenever I open my mouth and it goes away on it's own.

I almost never get cold sores, so I don't have any suggestions for you. I hope it clears up, though.

Is it a cold sore, or a cancor sore?

Cold sores are on the outside of your mouth and cancor sores are little ulcers on the inside. I've never had a cold sore, but I get cancor sores sometimes. Theres no cure for them, and they can last 10-14 days. I used Orajel, but it really burns when you first put it on, and it only lasts a short amount of time. I feel bad for you, I hate cancor sores!

for cold sores, we use over-the-counter cold sore medication (fyi: over the counter means you don't need a prescription, but you may need to get it from a pharmacy, but go ask at the drugstore), and they seem to be pretty effective... chapstick is used as well, 'cause the treatments usually dry them out (which is how they go away) but it stops it from hurting

for canker sores, we have alum (which has been in the house for as long as i can remember), it tastes disgusting, but it gets rid of it within 24 hours... the trick is to be very careful you don't hit anywhere else in your mouth
