We would love to set up an British version of the site in america www.hugsandhope.com . Basically what it
is, so many children are featured each month, with their name (obviously not
their surname too), a little about them and their condition/illness, and an email
and postal address (to a collection point rather than home). And visitors
to the site are invited to send mail to the featured children, either a card
or a card and a small present.

So many people would like to do something to cheer up children who are
battling chronic/acute illness, but have no idea of how to.

The reason we are post, is that we have this idea, but we are not sure
on laws and child protection and that. We know the obvious of not posting
home addresses, full names etc. But wondered if you would be able to give
us some advice about how to go about setting this up as we know that the
children's safety is the most important thing.

Thank you

Love and hugs

That doesn't make sense, you just said you want to make a British version in America.

But someone answered, so you're bringing it to Lissa's country, so that person knew what you meant. I still don't. But if Lissa's in the US, then I guess I know now.

I still don't know why you said a British version.

She wants to make a British version of the American website. It was just ambiguity in grammar, that's all. ;)

Ohhh.. Lissa's British? And I was just reading up on those rules. Same as here, at least as far as not collecting personal information.
