ok so liek i said before i am running my own server and everything, but i cant get the fopen fputs and fclose to work. they mostly jsut say access is denied. since it is a windows server i shouldnet need chmod. whats ishappening? help please.

just go there and viola, you will see that even the most simple of guest book will not work because of fopen and fputs not being alound to work their magic. thanks for the help.

is the file that you are writing to CHMODed to 666 or 777? the file permissions need to be right before you can start publicly opening and writing to it...

so nobody knows whats wrong? then is someoen maybe able to help me out by saying where i can get mysql for windows iis 5?

you can't get my sql for windows, its called SQL. OoOoOoOoOoOo

but your going to have to work on your SQL skills and edit the code for it or something, because window servers stink and you should make a linux one, they work better, just got to know how to edit it.

for some reason apache doesnt liek my system i have tried many times. meh oh well. i guess i will have to learn to use MySQL now. the aim ws to run off of flat files, but i guess windows servers wont let you...
