Ok, maybe I'm paranoid (if I am, just say so), but I have 2 young children, and I am nervous about putting their pics on a public access website. However, I think it'd be nice to post them for friends and family to see.

So, here's my question: Is there a way for me to make the pic page of my site password protected so that only people with the password can view it?

Why don't you e-mail the pictures? It'ss a lot safer and password protected pages with not very good protection can easily let people in.

If you really really want the pictures on your site then you should use a PHP password protection script. But, let me warn you anyone who is good with scripts and knowledgable about PHP can break in. A hidden link is also a good idea then you tell your friends where it is.

My opinion is going towards e-mailing, your children can be in grave danger if they are exposed to mere strangers.

Ill go with the hidden link, just like, make a index page, and make it alot of folders, then shorten it with www.shorturls.com or www.klsdfjasd.tk or something, like make it, http://www.domain.com/kids/pics/kidspics/hidden/familyonly/
or something no1 would guess.
