A cookies grabber is does exactly this:
Yes cookie grabbers are similar to fake login pages. When you visit someone's shop and try to buy something, it'll take you to a page saying that it doesn't exist. So you hit "back" on your browser and *poof* the scammer got ahold of your cookies stored on your computer. That "cookie" contains your username and password. So how do you avoid this?? Well beware of any shops that takes you to an outside link. Immediately shut down your browser when you see that happening, don't hit back, don't hit home, don't go anywhere. Just close your browser and immediately report that shop to webhost Staff! It might not be a bad idea to delete all the cookies in your system. Then go to and quickly change your username and password. For Internet Explorer the option to delete your cookies is located in the Tools Section under "Internet Option". So be careful!!! But if we all work together, we can let those scammers that we won't tolerate this! Oh yeah, I'm sure I'm gonna get more hatemails and more viruses for standing up against scammers, but whatever, I'm used to it by now.
I know it's sounds stupid to use someone else's login name when they can get there own but some cookies store credit card numbers and stuff like that.
I hope this hits the nail on the head! LOL
Best Wishes, ;)
