according to a review on amazon.com, someoen said PSP7 doesnt have a laso tool...is it true?

I've had this new product sitting on my desk, waiting for my new computer to show up. Finally, the day arrived, and I couldn't wait to load it up to see all the wonderful things I had read about. They are true.. this software has tons of easy and wonderful tools to fix up images. But, it's missing one very important tool, atleast to me. It doesn't have a lasso tool for selecting. I am referring to the tool that you can use to crop right around the main image you photographed in order for the background to be cut out. So, basically, you can only crop using a square, rectangle or circle shape, and that's not always convenient as most items we are editing need the background cut out. I was so very disappointed to not see this one, simple feature. I now have to buy a different graphics program to go along with this one.

It has a lasso tool, I don't know what that person was thinking..

It certainly does have a lasso tool. Although its called (i think) freehand...maybe they just didnt look hard enough.
