I know this question has been asked about a billion times, but I've searched the forum and still come up empty handed. Does anyone know a free image hosting site that allows .png files?

And also, what is the best quality file type that does not take forever to load? I usually use .png but it takes about a minute for my background to load sometimes. .jpg usually causes my pictures to become blurry. any suggestions?

Hi. Most hosts allow png files.

Differnet formats are useful for differnt purposes.

JPG: Good for photos and pictures, scanned material. Also compresses the file size.

To avoid the blury and 'jpg-ish' look, you might want to use the lowest compressor possible which would be 1%

GIF: These file are good for pixel art as they produce a clear image. Tey are also used for animations. Its not good to save phots as gifs as you will get a 'speckled effect' all over the image.

PNG: These are normally smaller in size than GIFs and do not compress the image. Png files have multiple transparencies not just one as in gif files, which makes pings more dynamic.

I think freewebs.com provides .png uploads! ;D

angelfire lets you upload .png files..also .mov files..it takes a while though..plus they have a limit of like 8-10MB that you can only upload daily .. but yeah, angelfire is okay for the most part. especially because it's FREE.. :)
