Have you ever watched Inuyasha? Love it, thinks it's ok, hate it? o.O How could anyone ever hate such a wonderful anime? .....I'm obesessed and proud of it too! Don't know what else to say......I'll leave it here......

I've seen Inuyasha a few times. I don't think too much of it though. To complicated for me. :p I watched the movie.

I've seen the first movie and I really want to download the second movie. The third movie is coming out in Japan this December. I whish I lived in Japan. ;_;

I didn't know they had movies. but i've seen some of the shows and its one of my favorite animes.

Inuyasha is awesome! I thought I was the only obsessed with it. I luv the plot and it's not short and sweet like Trigun.

What's funny though is that my favorite character is Sheshoumaru :lol: I wonder what ever happened to him and the little mute girl. :confused:

Sesshoumaru and Rin (the mute girl but she is mute no more) will come back in around episode 43. I've seen up to episode 114 and want to watch more.

The Tetsusaiga (Inuyasha's sword) will be broken in half by Goshinki's teeth. (Goshinki is Naraku's 3rd offspring after Kagura and Kanna.) Inuyasha gets badly injured and is near death when his youkai (demon) blood takes over his body. He kills Goshinki. Kagome sits Inuyasha to bring him back to normal.

One of my favorite episodes is episode 48. Once you see it you may know why ecspicially if you're an Inu/Kag fan (I'm a big one!).

Well, can I ask whatever happened to Koga (the Wolf dude)? Is he still in love with Kagome, or was it temporary?

I only have the second season on DVD and the last episode of the season is "Kagura's Dance & Kanna's Mirror".

Yep, Kouga's still in love with Kagome. He and Inuyasha get in some kind of fight every time they see each other. There was one time when Inuyasha was holding onto Kagome (it kinda looked like a hug) and Kouga started pullng on Inuyasha's sleeves in an attemt to pull Inuyasha off Kagome and when Kouga couldn't get him off that was he started pulling on Inuyasha's leg. I like the look on Kagome's face.

The only anime I watch is on Cartoon Network, too poor to get the dub's online.

Aren't they bringing it back..? That is what I read somwhere.

You can dowload mIRC and after 30 days (somewhere around there. can't remember) you can regester it and have it permedently for a one time payment of $20. With mIRC you can download the fansubs (including the movies) which usually aren't that far behind Japan.

The american Inuyasha dub came back on at 12:00 midnight e/p and 11:00 central on August 25 on the Adult Swim block on Cartoon Network Monday-Thrusday night.

This is something that I wanted to add earlyer but forgot. In the american dub Sango's fire cat is called Kilala but in the original Japanese version and the english traslated manga she's (or he's, don't know) called Kirara. I read somewhere on an Inuyasha board that sometimes in Japanese the r can be pronounced like and l. An example of this would be FLCL. FLCL can also be called Furi Kuri or Fooly Cooly. Furi Kuri (the Japanese name) is pronounced the same way as Fooly Cooly. In this case the r is procounced like and l. That's probably the reason why Kirara is called Kilala.

The only anime's I like and watch are Kikaider, Inu-yahsa (no duh! ^ ^ ), and Big O (I like that huge megaduce).


Beyblade is way too pokemon like for me (no offense) and so is Pokemon and Yu-gi-oh

Kinda getting off topic here but oh well. FLCL is another good anime. It was on Adult Swim the same time Inuyasha is one before Inuyasha came back on. I really like it. Nice and odd. Too bad it was only 6 episodes long. There are animes out there that are great, some that are good, some that are just ok, and some that make you cringe. I consider Inuyasha a great one. But I'm a fanatic so you shouldn't take me to seriously.

Rurouni Kenshin is anohter one of those good animes. I haven't seen the whole thing and I'ver heard that it's not that good after the Kyoto arc (Shishio).

Now, time to get kinda back on topic. Doujin or doujinshi. Ever heard of it? For those of you who don't know what it is it's a fan made manga. In Japan there are companies (or whatever you would call them) that draw/write the doujin and publish it. But they have to get some kind of permission from the original creator/owner of the ainme/manga. I've seen a 'couple' of Inuyasha doujin out there that I want. The only problem is that it's all in Japanese and I've seen one in Chinese. I can't read either. Pictures are always good. Of corse there's that hentai doujin. But I'm not going to get into that.

Love Kenshin! For a while, kenshin was my avy. And Inu-yasha's good too. Oh, Kenshin Manga coming in november! YAY! *runs in excited circles* I can't wait!

I like dubbed better. Unless they don't change the way there mouth moves to what their saying, and there mouths are moving faster or something then its really annoying because then i can't stop staring at there mouths.

Subtitles all the way! If you do the subs you can see way further on in the series then the dub goes. After watching so many subtitled Inuyasha episodes I've found Kagome's english voice annoying. Miroku's sounds practically the same as the original. It kinda bugs me that sometimes names are pronounced differently and that Kirara is called Kilala. Oh, well. yea, i did the exact same thing you did inu. some of the english voices aren't that bad, but the japanese seem to put a much larger range of emotion into their character. the english kagome just sounds like a whiney little kid to me. but i really like the english inuyasha, richard cox.

Umm.... SSPrincess it's the Shikon no Tama. Sorry, but I'm picky like that. Tama means jewel in Japanese so you should get the meaning. Another reason why I like the sub better is because the voices seem to fit the charaters part so good. Kappei (voice of original Inuyasha) does truly a unique voice for Inuyasha and fits Inuyasha very well. Don't get me wrong, Richard Cox has a unique voice too but Kappei's (in my opinion) is better. It's just that after watching the sub for so long without watching the dub, and then watching the dub again made me really appriciate the sub.

I'm just used to hearing a language I understand :D So hearing something you don't understand loses my attention for it then I get annoyed.

Well, I have favorite charaters. In other words my favorite charaters are Inuyasha and Kagome. I like the original Japanese Kagome better than the english one. The only thing really different about them is that the voice and language they speak is different. The english voice just annoys me.

Does anyone have a favorite song from Inuyasha? If you're a dub watcher and only a dub watcher you won't have much of a choice unless you've heard the songs off the internet. I love all the songs and can't really pick a favorite one.

Favorite Character ~ Kagome I guess, only because she and I are very much alike, I am an ameature(sp?) archer myself, and am pretty good (not good enough though...I haven't won any competitions:()

As for my favorite Inuyasha, I'd have to say "My Will" because I think it's really pretty.

Ummm Inu just cuz I watch dub doesn't mean that is the only Inuyasha thing I watch ;) I have a seen many japanese episodes of Inuyasha and they put the ending song very clearly.

The Inuyasha manga and anime are still running in Japan. From what I've heard is that the anime is quite far behind the manga so it's hard to estimate the # of episodes. On the 15th the 127th episode will be shown in Japan. Volume 32 of the manga will be out on the 18th.

One thing that I really like about Inuyasha is that it doesn't have all those mushy friendship scenes. Too many animes already have that. Sure there are the romatice scenes but there never that mushy but usually sweet and cute.

At first I dispised (I don't think I spelled that right) Kikyou but as I started to watch the subtitled episodes so I could see further in the series I changed my opinion. After episode 98 (the one when Kikyou and Kagome were stuck in that cave) was when I really started to not hate her anymore. She's not my favorite charactor but I don't hate her.

I've never seen it, but my friend is obsesed. She named all of us after characters. I was Kagome (is that right?). Oh well.

Anywho Miroku is really funny, I like how he can be very audacious (sp?). It's kinda like a competition between Inuyahsa because both egos are VERY big. :lol:

Kouga also has a VERY big ego. I think some other charactors have big egos also but I can't think of any right now.

naraku and sesshoumaru have big egos.....i guess you could just say that all of the guys in inuyasha have big egos and leave it at that. lol :D

But what about the girls? Do any of them have big egos? I'm not even sure if Kanna even has an ego.............

I think Kagoura (sp?) has a BIG ego. And she really stinks.... :lol: The reason she lives is because of 'convienient' distractions and that stupid feather of hers. I think Inuyasha needs to destroy it and Miroku should of sallowed her up with his hand (he had the chance about a few episodes ago).

Kagura may have a big ego but I don't think she should get sucked up by Miroku or have Inuyasha kill her. She's really only doing most of the stuff she does because she has to obey(sp?) Naraku or her heart will go bye bye and she'll die.

I hope Naraku squooshes her heart :lol: I think it'll happen eventually... I hope. Kagura just annoys me, for some reason.

Kagura is just like those annoying gnats that you can never seem to smack.

I never really think about Kagura much and really don't care which way it turns out.

On a different subject, how many episodes have you seen? Ever read the manga?

Well I have some Japanese Manga that my dad gets me :D I can't read it but the pictures are suffice.

I have seen more than 100 episodes (I dunno how many exactly) and those are mostly subtitles. I'm watching them all over but in dubs. Oh yea I have seen two of the movies as well.

The second movie is good but I still regret watching it without seeing the entire fifth season. There are some parts that get you lost if you don't know about them. IT's a lot better without trying to figure out why this and why that :D

I've read a full summary of the second movie and I didn't think you had to know that much and I've seen up to 114. I don't know when the 5th season starts..... Cherchezlafemme, do you remember what happened the last subtitled Inuyasha episode you saw? If you know that you can easily find out which episode you left off in if you look at episode summaries.

Well I really wanna catch up with the Inuyasha manga

They read manga right to left in Japan and the dialouge(sp?) is printed downwards. Cherchezlafemme should know since she has some of the original Japanese manga. I have a subsciption(sp?) to the english Shounen Jump and they have the oringal setup of the Japanese manga so you can see how it was originally drawn out.

I personally like the original way better because since the english manga is often flipped so things are often backwards. Such as that when Kagome shoots an arrow she has her right hand on the hard curvey part (as you can tell I don't know what it's called) and her left hand back by the end of the arrow instead of the other way around. Also that Miroku has his Kazaana (wind hole) in his left hand in stead of his right. It kinda bugs me sometimes.

thats stupid, i mean if they're going to make an english version at least make it RIGHT instead of screwing up everything!

Woah, I never noticed that I guess not because I have seen very few english manga. The ones I like are in Japanese :D

I really want to get the Japanese manga and I've figured out that if I want volumes 1-32 I would have to pay $44. That's $3.25 per volume. I personally think that's a good deal considering(sp?) that it's either like $6.50 (or $7.50 can't remember), $10, $14 or something else per english manga.

They flip the manga since we read left to right and they must've thought that it would help or something. I can read just fine the other way and prefer it over haveing Miroku suck of things with his wrong hand or Kagome shooting an arrow with the wrong hand in front.

My favorite episode is episode 48. I haven't seen the dub version of this episode, only the subtitled one.

I don't remember the episode number, but it's the one where Inu-Yasha hugs Kagome and Shippo's jumping up and down saying "I wanna see!" and Miroku whacks him on the head and says "It's not for children to see." Obviously, though, I've only seen the dubbed ones.

Owlie42, that's episode # 19 and it's called Go Back to Your Own Time, Kagome!

Besides episode 48, I also like 57 and 58. Those are the ones with the peachman or Toukijin (he has the same name as Sesshoumaru's second sword.....) and it's on the night of the new moon so Inuyasha's human. They really pushed those 57 and 58 back in the anime and they're oringinally in volume 9 of the manga.

I like it, but it comes on really late at night, past when I go to sleep anyway. I really wish I could stay up to watch it though! I have watched it a few times and I think it is cool!

I absolutely LOVE anime! I try to watch all the shows I can. I just saw Inuyasha for the first time last week when I was off from school. I also watched Kenshin, dot hack sign (however you write it), and Cowboy Bebop last week I liked most of them although some were drawn prettier than others.

Jessica002, you can always by the DVDs or VHSs for the anime you like, tape it (I tape Inuyasha even though I've seen up to the 114th episode in subtitles), or (if you have a TV in your room) you can stay up late anyway with the volume low or plug some headphones in it your TV has a thing for it. I do the last one alot. Since I have school my bedtime is 9:30 and 10:00 on weekends but for summer vacation I got 11:00 last time but Inuyasha wasn't on earyly enough or something. Since I'm in central time Inuyasha's on at 11:00 instead of 12:00! I like central time. ^-^

yeah im in central time to, but it's still kind of late for me, even tho school starts at 9:30 for me :p i need a lot of sleep! i usually go to bed after family guy. :)

To answer me own question, I think I've been watching Inuyasha for about a year too. And over that year my obsession REALLY grew....

Adult swim action used to be every saturday do you remember that? Now it's on every WEEK day. thats kind of bad for me coz of school..

saturdays were definately better. i actually had the time to stay up and watch it on sat. i have to wake up really early to go to school and instead of taping episodes i watch them online

Saturdays were so much better. But I suppose they figured people who shouldn't be watching (ie, the people who are the ones watching it) would be able to watch, so they moved it to weekdays. Darn them.

I liked it better on the Saturdays. I acually got to stay up and watch Inuyasha. Then they started doing 2 episodes instead of one and I had to tape the second one. I remember the first time they started showing 2 episodes was right around Kikyou coming back. I was so happy that they did 2 episode cause they left if off on a cliffhanger from the first one.

Then they took a big break and the next episode was going to be Kagome's voice and Kikyou's Kiss. That was an absolutly horrible wait for the next episode.

Hmmm.. I don't know, but i guess I would like it better if it came on Saturdays!

They took Inuyash off Adult Swim....again! FLCL was moved into Inuyasha's time slot! It's a good series but Adult Swim already played it twice before Inuyasha came back on before. Of course... last time when Inuyasha came back on they had new episodes and maybe that'll happen this time too. They're going to paly FLCL at leat twice again but it's only 6 episodes long.

There is no Adult Swim on Fridays and Saturdays. You could still stay up late to watched FLCL. FLCL's confusing but quite good. Well, I'm not a big fan of the dub Kagome but I like the sub Kagome. The voice of the dub Kagome is so annoying to me and I think her voice actress is trying to hard. But I really like Kaogme's original voice (it took awhile to get used to)!

I've never heard the original Kagome's voice..I like Inuyasha's dub voice tho..

I live in Canada they show it on YTV there but only on fridays,which is a shame....

Inuyasha has a good dub voice but I also like his original one. They both sound totally different but it's hard to find someone with a similar voice to Richard Cox or Kappie Yamauchi(I think I spelled that right...). Miroku's voice sounds almost exactly the same in the dub and the sub.

i completely agree with you about the dubbed voice of kagome. she just sounds too much like a little kid, and her emotions aren't very convincing. she sounds the same to me all the time.

sometimes i read fanfiction, but a lot of them are the same inuyasha and kagome waff stuff.

But sometimes you get those good ones. Turnabout is Fair Play by Ookami is a famous one. Check out Iridescent Dreams (http://www.iridescent-dreams.net/iy/) (it's at the enter page) for good fanfiction.

FanFiction.net (http://www.fanfiction.net/) is another good place but you can find the really stupid ones there. There are tons of good fanfiction out there but it's burried by all the stupid ones. ANYONE! Dub watcher should even know the second on but probably won't know the first one.

I've heard from some places that Adut Swim is wants to get Saturday night back and make it a movie night. So there's a possibility that they might show the first Inuyasha movie if it's dubbed (or in a million years and show the sub, you never know). I've already seen the first and second movies so it's not that big of a deal. But I would like to see what kind of voice actors they choose.....

Never really got into that show. I don't like dubbed anime series either. I have watched the series I have on dvd so much now that I don't have to read the subtitles. :lol:

Well, I used to hate Kikyou but then I saw epi 98 and my opinion of her changed. Now I just don't think much of her. So very confusing.

Epi 98 also made me like Kagome more, oddly enough. Kagome really does put up with alot but she also has her spurts of anger. And she does side with Shippou too much. Sometimes Shippou deserves(dang, I can't spell) it. Everyone has their ups and downs. I just think Kikyou has more downs that Kagome.

Personally I have mixed feelings for thoose two as inu said tey have thier ups and downs both of them But overall Kagome is less confused and has a better grip on reality, so I say Kagome.

First of all, WELCOME BACK Cherchez! You haven't posted in this thread in a while.

Yeah, Kagome is sweet and really puts up with alot. But some people look right past that and focus on how many times she sits Inuyasha or how she sometimes takes Kouga's side instead of Inuyasha's. It all doesn't really make sence. I mean, Inuyasha does generally the same stuff to Kagome. First off, to go with the sit thing, Inuyasha doesn't hurt Kagome physically but he hurts her emotionally sometimes. He ventures off with Kikyou, and usually says stupid stuff because of hif 'macho man' act he puts on.

I'm not saying that I don't like Inuyasha, he's one of my fav characters, but I'm just saying that some people may love Inuyasha but hate Kagome while Inuyasha is doing pretty much the same stuff as him.

I HAVE seen (or read) people who have commented on a fanart of Kagome sitting in Inuyasha's lap and saying that they whish they were in Kagome's place or someting about bashing Kagome. People all walk around saying Inuyasha is theirs. This more frequently happens with Sesshoumaru than with Inuyasha. Sesshoumaru is probably own by thousands of fangirls out there.

:D I just watched the second Inuyasha movie.....again.

Speaking of which, when I got the second movie it came with a second disc. I just recently found out that on that disc(or CD) are most of the Inu characters saying stuff. It's all in Japanese so I can't understand most of it. The first track has Jaken singing some of Grip! but in a more Sesshoumaru fashion. And Sess stops Jaken's horrid singing. The second track Inuyasha is speaking and Kagome comes in every now and then with a 'Hai!' or repeating part of what Inuyasha just said. They're both talking very fast. Then it swiches around and Kagome is the one talking with Inuyasha doing what Kagome was doing. It cuts out and the whole Inu gumi comes in and says something that sounds similar to whishing Inuyasha a happy birthday or something. It's kinda odd. Then in some tracks Kagome is going doo doo doo in some parts. In one track she does it then she starts talking really fast and laughs. Inuyasha comes in and it sounds like they start fighting. I didn't listen to the whole thing (that would have taken me atl east an hour).

Odd. Very odd.
