this may sound stupid..but im working on a layout for my site (ive never made one before...) but im still kind of confused about the whole concept...do i just make my image size 1024 by 768 and then do the art and stuff lol and then make space for text boxes or i frames...but then like do i set it up wen doing the html as making the image as the background or as just inserting and image??? please help!! (also i was wondering if anybody knew an easy way of how to position your iframes quick where you want them to be ;-\) Thanks!!!!

1024x768 is waaaaay to big for an layout (even for 1024x768 resolution) since that's the size of the WHOLE screen, and since your statusbar, scrollbar and buttons like "refresh" take up allready some space on your screen you can't view that layout fullsize.

the width of a regular layout in 1024x768 is 1003 pixels width.
height doesn't matter, since it's different on every computer.

we mostly make a graphic with areas on it etc, then save that graphic, make the coding for it (with let's say divs) and finish it make the pages and you are done.

try a search on this forum for "layout tutorial" or something like that
