I want to buy a domain and space because I am tired of having my website always being at someone else' mercy. I don't have much money, only about $50. I tried searching on this board but it didn't really help me. All I really need to know is if anyone knows of a good host that charges yearly, instead of monthly, yet is still relatively cheap. I also need a domain with the same properties.

http://www.barronhosting.com - VERY good host. They always awnser your questions. Server is very fast too. it's like $20 USD for 1 GB of bandwidth and 100mb of space. or maybe it's 2 GB bandwidth. .. Mine got doubled at one point when they changed servers ..

It doesnt include domain though. Get one at http://wwww.godaddy.com for 9 bucks a year. Cheapest anywhere.

Do you (or anyone) use these and know they work well? Also is 100mb and 1gb good for a website, or should I go for more?

Depends on how much contect you have, and hits.

I think you should start with 100mb space and 1 gb bandwidth, and when you hae problems with it, buy a bigger plan.

thats a good idea, can you just change like that though without much trouble?
