Does anybody know why Photoshop likes to mess with the fonts ? sometimes I make an icon, use the text type tool, write in a small sized font and things turn out to be just fine. Now, suppose I want to make another icon.
I open up a 100x100 new file, activate the text type tool, select the smallest font and when I try to type, the font is so small it can hardly be seen. I then change the size, make it bigger ... and nothing happens at all, the text is microscopical.

I close Photoshop, wait a few hours and try again. Sometimes it works, some other times it keeps on acting this weird way for hours and hours.

I asked on some PS forums and I was told it happens to many other users but none of them knew what to do about it.

Help ? :|

You know what? I had a mayjor problem with that yesterday while I was designing a logo! My font size 18 looked like 74 and size 6 looked like 24! Restarting your computer helps clear it up.

So it seems to be a common problem with Photoshop :\ it ^^^^s, I don't feel like restarting my computer anytime I wish to create something which needs text written on eheheh ...
My sister increases or decreases the font size by typing in the text in the size box on the top of the screen when PS is open ... it does solve the problem but still it shows how PS has a bug which has been lasting at least in the latest two versions :\
