Ok I've planned out a new layout. Becauseof what i want I made the whole setup in psp. But now I need to know what will be easier to publish. I made a whole image of the layout, should I jsut attempt to slice this and use this one image with my divs stratigically placed? or should i take the little pieces of the image (like a blogg background here and alink background there) and do them serperate?

Here is what I see as the problems. If I take the layout and seperate it into it's pieces then I feel I may have a hard time lining them up exactly as needed and for the look i want it needs to be lined up.

If I take the whole image and jsut place the text I'm afraid that depending on what resolution someone has they will not see the text lined up into the proper background?

Are these concerns valid? What would someone suggest I do? If you need to see the layout image as I have it to understand what I mean i will post it on my site and give you a link just ask.

as i understand it, it seems the best solution would probably be to put the text in a div and absolute-position it. though it's true that different resolutions can mess up some layouts, if you position the div from the top and left, it should work just fine. i would try that first, since i imagine it would be quite hard to make all the images line up again. good luck :)

I agree with stargrl, but a good idea is to make two versions, one for small browsers and one for larger browsers. Thus everything looks good, it won't be messed up.

Hope this is useful, and have a nice day!

Way to go!!! It doesn't look that simple to me, and everything is in my favorite color, so I don't have any complaints. Very nice site by the way.
