I kinda want a domain. Well, ok so I want a domain. I haven't the slightest idea where I want too get it, or what too do. I want something cheap. Can anyone help!?

a domain is just the name. on its own, it doesn't do you much good.

your files need to be put on a computer that is permanently connected to the Internet with a high speed connection. that's what hosting is. usually you pay (although sometimes you can find free hosts that support domain names) a company for space on their servers for your files, and for use of their connection (and you pay based on how much data transfer, aka bandwidth, you need) as well as electricity and all that.

I have a .com domain name from www.bravenet.com from $8/month. That's pretty good. I guess. lol
