Drupal is not complex but different, difference between Drupal and Joomla looks like the difference between gmail and hotmail.for example people are looking for administration interface like Joomla has.

When I am working on Joomla, for me Joomla is the best. This happens for Drupal also. Both have some merits and demerits.Joomla coding structure is complex than Drupal. So, while designing a site using Joomla, the chances are very low that you can design it according to your wish. But its very easy with Drupal. But Joomla is existing from a longer period than Drupal.

I've worked with Joomla and Drupla a couple times with a friend. Joomla is my favorite. I'd say work with both, as panjabifolk and carol25 said they have niches. More software means more access to tools.:)

I can not say Drupal is easier than Joomla. Drupal is not hard but different. Difference between Drupal and Joomla seems like the difference between gmail and hotmail. For example people are looking for administration interface like Joomla has. I don't remember how many times people asked "how to login to admin area". And most people still don't understand concept of taxonomy but looking for a categorization like the one in joomla (remember the difference between gmail and hotmail). As mentioned before there is a certain point to understand Drupal which is mostly understanding terminology and concept. Till that point learning to use Drupal is hard and boring but after that point real fun begins. Only after that point you will realize the things you can do with Drupal. I hope you won't loose your interest in learning Drupal.

thanks for that, I don't mine learning is just when I get stuck and use up a lot of time.
Trust me, it took hours/days to even install the program...but yea you learn so much from your processes until you become an expert.
