Hello!

I wanted to start learn programming, again, so i decided that the best way for me to learn is to do and as such an idea i wanted to make a website whit a forum from scratch.

Now don't take me wrong i know it is a big project for a beginner like myself but that is why i wanted to do it, i already got some basic knowledge though that will only help me whit one half of the project, the web site.

So my problem is that i have never had any experience doing a forum from scratch i would need to know a few things to even get started and even complete my project.

I got a list of things i need to know in order to start and complete the website/forum so all i ask for is a basic and simple code for the things needed, yes yes, before you tell me that i wont learn anything if you give me the code let me tell you that i intend to change and mix with the code so that i do indeed learn from it and also so it will fit the theme of my website/forum.

* Forum) a simple code on a category and a board, something that enable the makings of a thread or post
* A registration for the forum) something that stops people who are not registered on the forum from posting
* An affiliate code)
* A chat) or maybe otherwise called a guestbook

If i ask to much i ask of you to behave and if you are going to post i ask of you to not post spam such as insults. If there is something that you do not quite understand then i will be more than happy to explain it and for now i will be running off to collect a few print screens that could help me in my explanations.

Are you trying to code the whole forum yourself or are you looking for a forum that you can install and set up?

I do not know how to code on from scratch but if you need help installing one I can talk you through it.

Well, there's nothing wrong in the pure coding creating a forum. However, it is difficult if you don't use any software to create a forum or website.

If you actually want to code it yourself, go get some PHP books and study up. Otherwise, you're best off just using forum software.
