I am looking for Christian midi files (must be free) with music from Michael W Smith, MercyMe, Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin and other artists that are of the same genre of Christian music. I have looked in different ones only to find the old hymns and music by artists I never heard of.
One other problem I found interesting was I used this as my html as

and, indeed, it'll play a "beep" noise. On the other hand, when I put a music file in that was a .mid file nothing played. Any reason why that may have happened? It left me wondering.

It could be many reasons. You may not have typed in the code correctly, your browser external plugin is not installed, or needs to be updated, Or your being blocked by the server where the sound file is located.( Some sites don't allow hot linking).

Not all browsers can play midis - try converting to mp3 or wav.

However... personally, I avoid any site with any background sound, because it's incredibly annoying and it means I have to stop listening to whatever else I was listening to at the same time.
