There was a temporary forum started, I lost the URL when the hard drive of my old computer died. But I know a few of the members went there. If someone could find that temporary forum, we may be able to get some of them back

I have completed two years at The University of St Andrews, doing Business Management, and have another two years to go. There's obviously a lot more that has gone on, but there's a starting point.

I'm starting my senior year of college. Then I have to join the real world. (Or grad school. There's always grad school.)

Or in reality, completely new college(I transferred), now an illustration major, a model and pursuing a career in either video game character design or graphic designer for Funimation. Also kind of grew up a lot and just my life is way awesome right now! =D

Tried a new chemo; it worked some, but my doctors didn't think it did as well as it should have, so they pulled the plug on it immediately after a test instead of waiting to see if you could still do some good. On disability now, as I'm almost 22 and unable to work or go to school due to illness. Attempting to get on medicare/medicade,

- I installed Ubuntu, ditched Windows, finally.
- I wrote several web games, but they're offline now.
- I wrote several programs.
- I learned: Python, MySQL, Java, XHTML, XML, JavaScript & a bit more.
- I started doing Electronics at school and it's now my hobby...
- I joined Ubuntu Forums, along with many others.

I was sad when this site closed down. (Database error, if I remember) I checked it daily for months, but I eventually gave up all hope...

It wasn't a database error - Lissa's hard drive failed.

IIRC, the database was damaged and she'd lost the backup (due to HDD failure). But anyway, that's not important, all that is important is that LEIA is back. Though I hope more members come back (and join), at the moment it's pretty bare.

HI guys, not much excuse for not checking in but I'll let you know what's going on anyway. Somewhere back in September, my computer's hard drive died with all of my forum info and backups (along with tons of pictures and other very important things).. got me pretty depressed and I kind of gave up on everything site-related. I picked up and moved to New York with Chris mid-October and we've been looking for a place to live ever since.. we've been living in a hotel and having trouble finding somewhere because the company he works for isn't much for keeping promises.. I mean, who needs to be paid their salary anyway :P I'm up here to go to school in NYC in February, but in the meantime I've confined myself to the room, sleeping, eating, and that's pretty much it. I wish you guys knew how much my life wasn't what it's supposed to be right now, and I'm hoping it gets better soon. Not sure what else to say.

I can't really remember anything worth talking about right now.
I got addicted to other sites, worked more on my writing, and discovered an interest in learning languages.
Hopefully I've changed a little bit from the person I was back then. :D

Hey Marta Glad to see you are back

I finished college, got a full time job doing web programming, moved to a new state halfway across the country, really solidified what I believe as far as faith/religion, started video game programming... A lot has changed in really good ways :)

I randomly stumbled upon an old LEIA thread from '03 and I decided to check to see if the forum was up again. I'm happy to see it is! Does anyone know who I am? LOL. It's been too long.

I guess my interest in web design way back paid off. I'm about a year and half away from getting my bachelor's in Graphic Design :)

MUNCHKIN! HI! Oh my god it is so weird that we all are grown up and in college now! I started coming here when I was like 12 or 13 and now I'm 24! I am working on my bachelors in Multimedia Design and Development and I thought of this place and decided to see who was still around. It is so sad that a lot of people were lost when the forums went down. I hope they come back some day. :)
