i read the section of the site about how to make a favicon. im wonderin if some1 can give me more details on how to do it?

i uploaded the icon to the main section of the site. its not working. maybe i have the code in the wrong spot? do i have to put the code on all the pages of the site or just the index?

First, you have to make a graphic that's 16x16 pixels, and save it as filename.ico (you might have to download a special plug-in if you do it in Photoshop or PSP, because they won't have .ico as an option)

After that, you upload it to your directory, and put this link on every page where you'd want it to show up:

<link rel="Shortcut Icon" href="/favicon.ico">

Is that what you mean?

Do you have a free program, that I can save them in .ico???? :P

I found an online generator, that generates ico. out of 16x16 pics!
You can easy download the file, and upload it to your page again... :)
