Did you put the images all in the same place? Or in seperate folders?

I have a drive shared out. i put all my pages, pics, files etc etc for my website in there.

You mean it's in one folder? Do you seperate the images into another folder inside that one?

If so what is the URL of the image folder

If not what is the URL of the folder where you place those items?

I am not sure how to get that. I have a linux server, which is shared out. the drive is shared out as w:/ but other than that i wouldn't know how to get the URL.

And yes, i have all my pics in the same foler. my W:/ drive.

Ok here is my example:

-Your Domain's MAIN Directory:
-Folder 1:

Folder 1 image


-Folder 2
-Folder 3

Now each folder in that directory has a url like this for example folder 1's URL is:

http://www.domain.com/folder 1

But, in folder one you have an image you want so direct it to:

http://www.domain.com/folder 1/folder 1 image.GIF

That's how you direct the source, in your image src tag

so, it would be...

www.hunkydori.com/w:/reddot.gif

the folder it is in is w:/ but that somehow that doesn't seem right.

Just write down all the folders inside W:/

i have the shared w:/ drive. Then i just out all my webpages, pics etc etc right in there. i don't put em in folders. There are folders but nothing i need is in them.

And the page is there too with all the images right?

and i put it in as reddot.gif
