could someone please direct me to a tutorial or explain to me how to actually install and intergrate it to my website. I understand html and have a general knowledge of how css works, but this confuses me. I'm making a fansite and I want to get it running? So how do I install it.

your host has to support PHP to begin with... you don't need MySGL or another database for Cutenews.
I myself use CN on my website and it's rather easy to install and use. Normally there is an readmy file in the download...?

This is what it says;

The installation of CuteNews is really easy and you should do it
without any problems if you fallow these steps:

1) Create a directory on your server ( e.g. cutenews )
2) Upload the content of the cutenews.1.4.5.zip to the directory you created in step 1
3) Now You must CHMOD the directory cutenews/data/ and all files and folders under the data/directory to 777.
4) Finally, go to http://yoursite.com/cutenews/index.php with you favorite browser and follow the instructions.

to integrate just login to cutenews on your site and go to Options -Integration Wizard

so I'm really dumb, and don't know how to set a directory :S I'm using ripway because someone said it supports coppermine and cutenews

don't know what ripway is...
I use SmartFTP to upload my files and there you can right-click on a directory and go to "CMHOD"
