I have a mailing list that I'm attempting to let people subscribe to, but I can't figure out how to work the actual "subscribing" process.

I'm currently using a bravenet email form so people can send me their email address, and I manually put their address on the mailing list (my host comes with a mailing list, so I'd rather use that than the bravenet one.)

My host says that people can automatically put themselves on the list if they send an email with "subscribe" in the body, but I can't figure out how I would do that. Is it possible to even get a "message" option on a bravenet form, or am I going to have to use a (::shudder::) email link? Thanks. :)

and i think body is just the message field. So they only need to send an email to your adress and typ "subscribe" into the message field.
