Hey guys,
I started building a website for fun a year and a half back and now that I have some time I was thinking of getting it going! I need all your opinons on anything I can add/delete from the pages. Any suggestions on what would look good with my page are heartilly welcomed...
Here's a picture of the beta version :)

Just a note, I'm definately going to wipe out that middle place where I typed and I'll be inserting a transparent (both background and scroll thinkgy) iframe, so I think that'll be a definite improvement

okay i got an error message so not sure if it took me to the right place but if it did and what i am supposed to be looking at is all kinds of pretty blue and high tech/sci-fi kinda looking i love it !! it rocks ! i dunno if i would change anything unless you just dont like it anymore or if it dont fit the page (i have extra white space but that could be cuase its a pic)
if ya really hate it i would suggest maybe just changing the color scheme to something you are more happy with. as for content it looks like ya got a good start with out really seeing what the sites about i cant give any specific suggestions but if your looking for more instead of redoing it to fit more links maybe just make the right hand side look like the left.
i really like it ... very inivative... much better then mine (screen shot here http://www.graphicvortex.com/screenshotmain ) and it took me way too many hours to come up with that... lol
p.s. the links look better then that now i redid them last night they are red, smaller, closer together symbols added for a lil jazz* and they have the line thru them =o)

Hey tayjaylee,
Thanks for the comments! Yes, the background will be black when I place it on a website. You are right about the links however, so I'm not so sure if it'll be practical to make them buttons because it will be a hassle to create them all over again :(
Your site looks very well done, but if you want some comments, then I'll provide them lol
It's a bit...plain...I think you have a great idea bout the color schemes and the placement, but I think your just hesitating on how to put it all together (wow, do I sound like a psychic or what?)
I like that flowy red picture in the middle (what is it?) Very stylistic, very cool, but overall, I think yor site would look much cooler if your pictures were a bit higher resolution.
I don't think the text at the top matches your site. In the middle you have this very cool, stylish, beautiful red color scheme, then you go to the industrial (gears'ish) font at the top. Have you thought about something 'graffiti' like? Something like this picture:

I think it would look great with your page
Try to really focus on a couple colours. On your page you have white, grey, red and black. I think the white black and red go great together. Perhaps a lighter grey would be more suitable for the font? (What do you think?)
Anyways, that's about all the thoughts that ran through my head. (I had some more, bit I'm afraid I'd be making you think too much like me!) Maybe I was just born like that, but I really think any sites made in the style of yours (compact, clean template, simple, etc.) look great in white, red and black (though I prefer them in that order, heh!)
Anyways, sorry for thread hijacking my own thread, back to my page now...who's next? :)

Hey Mother Goose! Great site (well picture), I think it would look awesome if you placed it in a window adjusted so you don't have to use a black background

Thansk man I'm totally not sure about the menu (looks like a claw thing) I've always thought about it and I've had some people complain about it. I'mnot sure if I want to take it out since it took me a while to make and it was original
thanks for the window idea, I'll be using that!
Comeon people! 60 views and 2 replies? The other 40+ people don't have anything to say?

I just got a brand new idea today....
I never really liked the look of this site, so I'm currently thinking about making a new with a bit less color a bit darker.....and...using...FLASH!
I'm still thinking about it though :)
So (I just had this brainwash idea a few minutes ago) I may end up scrapping this project LOL

one suggestion I have if you choose to use Flash though, is that you also have an HTML version, and give the user the option of going to either. not everyone has the Flash player installed, and you may loose some visitors that aren't willing to download it just to view your site. and those that do have it don't always want to use it, so avoid automatic redirects based on whether or not it's installed. having an HTML version will probably help keep your visitors, especially if they can go to it without waiting for the Flash one to load (particularly annoying on dial-up)
