I notice sometimes when I am surfing the Internet, that when on web pages that use repeated gifs (either as spacers or icons), Microsoft Explorer will not display them. When I hit refresh, they diplay fine. I had the same problem when I was developing my web site. If I used gifs that had the same file name, sometimes they would not load. It happens rarely, but it does occur. If I name each gif with a unique name, the images load properly every time. But it is inefficient to use so many unique gifs because it slows down the loading of the web page.
Has anyone else noticed this problem. Any ideas for a workaround?
