i use phpbb forum, you require cgi and sql functionality, but its worth the hassle really.

actually, phpBB requires PHP and SQL, not CGI. that's why it's called phpBB :)

and if you have access to PHP and SQL, I would definately use phpBB. don't believe people when they say it's hard to set up- as long as you follow the instructions (which are pretty easy to follow), you shouldn't have any problems.

also try searching this forum. tons of different kinds of forums have been mentioned :)
