I have a cd-rom with elements on it that are needed to work with my cam on the computer. but the cd only has installations for 98 2000 and ME, while i want this to install on XP (it's for someone else).

Can i do this or am i totally lost here? or will the program not work properly if i install the program on XP ? thanks

I'm using Trust webcam/digital camera

XP is funny like that; a lot of programs won't work unless you use XP-specific stuff. No saying if this program will work or not (you could always try?), but I'd go to the manufacturer's website and see if they have XP compatible components before you try it (I'm always downloading drivers and whatnot because my PC crashes so often... and of course I have none of my original disks. :P).

thank you lefty :)

i tried it, and i clicked first "win 98" to install, but then it said "your OS is 2000" so i did that one, and on the trust website i went to my camera and it said with it that i just had to ignore the warnings (about the XP logo) and go on with the installation.

It works for now, i still dunno how long. But then again i will look for some special drivers to download them !

You're quite welcome, glad it worked out :)
