Well, The US Mid-west and the Canadian Province of Ontario got hit with a winter storm. Parts of the region got freezing rain, sleet, snow, ice pellets, ice and/or rain. My town got only rain. Before I got up, I heard the wind blowing hard outside (That's why Environment Canada issued a wind warning for my area)

This evening, the forecast for my area calls for rain/snow mix (Temp: 3°C), then into the Overnight, it calls for a few flurries (Temp: -2°C)

Did your area got affected by a winter storm too?

Grand Rapids, MI.

Quarter-Inch of ice overnight, and a dusting of snow. I had to work at 9 at our downtown campus 25 miles away. I took the bus, it only took about 10 minutes longer than normal. There wasn't any noticable accidents on the way there this morning. I think just about every school on this side of the state and more got closed for today. They decided around noon to close campus at 3pm, so we got sent off 4 hours early from work. Between 9 and 1 there was about 4 inches of snow, now I'd say there is about 5 inches, on top of the ice from overnight. Our winter storm warning got cancelled, but we still have an advisory, and it has been slowing down. The roads are now horrible. On the way back to the main campus where I live there was four or five accidents. One of them was a five-car, one of which was in a very large ditch, the others were turned all around and bent up. People would make a wise choice not to go anywhere today unless they absolutely need to. I do like snow, and will be taking pictures, but when it comes to driving: Nuh uh.

My mom, boyfriend and grandma all told me about the fun winter weather Michigan has gotten. I do kind of wish we've gotten it here in Massachusetts, because I like the snow so, so much. However, today, it was a bit windy and with some sprinkles of rain, but nothing even close to what the Midwest got hit with.

It's cold here, but that's about it. The only place it was snowing was at a ski hill I drove by today.... fake snow  There isn't any snow elsewhere.

Not surprisingly, it didn't even come close to snowing in this part of California. The temperatures aren't even below 70 degrees Fahrenheit. :P
