View Full Version : Christmas..
SuperFabulous 11-22-2006, 03:13 AM Christmas is such a keen time.
What are you doing for it?
It's pretty neat how we can all share and show people how much we love eachother.

Marta 11-22-2006, 03:45 AM Christmas most certainly is a great time to spend with people you love, celebrating the birth of Jesus! :D
I haven't really made any plans yet, but my family has many traditions, such as baking cookies and lefse, putting our Christmas tree up on Dec. 24, eating lutefisk, and more. We usually get together with family sometime too. My mom's family if we're in MN.
On Saturday, I get to go to an Operation Christmas Child Processing Center which will be a lot of fun! I think helping with this project is always a great start to the Christmas season. :)
Do you have any plans yet?
iGeek 11-22-2006, 03:53 AM We have our tree up already! We usually bake cookies on Christmas Eve. That's really it for now. We will figure out which relatives house we will go to later. I think I am with my dad Christmas Eve and Day, so yeah. This will be my first year at his place for Christmas.
onigiri 11-22-2006, 04:02 AM I think my grandparent's on my mom's side are coming over, but we've no definite plans regarding who's visiting/whom we're visiting yet. I do know that we'll be decorating our Christmas tree, watching "It's a Wonderful Life", and singing Christmas carols. I'd love to bake Christmas cookies, but I don't think my brothers were pleased with my Phantom of the Opera-MapleStory-Utada Hikaru-Pokemon Christmas cookies, hmph. I mean, it's not as if they tasted bad.
Conboard 11-22-2006, 04:45 AM Ok... you know people celebrate the birth of Jesus, but I think we should celebrate also the Revolutionary War. Dec. 25, 1775 was when the USA became a free country. So I think we should celebrate that. These types of things drive me up the wall.
iGeek 11-22-2006, 07:26 AM Yeah, that kinda bothers me, but I don't care. Enjoy the holidays!
Owlie42 11-22-2006, 08:10 AM No specific plans. My exams end on the 19th, so probably a good deal of relaxing involved. Loafing around at home or helping make Christmas dinner, probably. As always. Since most of my family is in the UK or India...
Anyway, the Annual Extraction of the Christmas Tree from the Basement and Trying Frantically to Find the Instructions Event is scheduled for Friday or Saturday. And I have to find some time to bake cookies and whatnot. And drag out all those lovely Christmas CDs. Oh, and watch A Christmas Story. Christmas just isn't complete without "You'll shoot your eye out!" :D

Wait, what are you referring to? Dec 25, 1776 makes sense...is that what you were thinking of?
And for the British among us? Or Canadians? Or anything else?
Arwen 11-22-2006, 02:03 PM I don't have any plans yet. Just sleeping and relaxing... and coding coding coding coding... nah joke. :D
I wish I could visit my friend though, but my Mom wouldn't allow me...and I'm not that rich... :(
SUPER RP06 11-22-2006, 05:33 PM Well, so far, my family doesn't have a Christmas tree up yet, and our house hasn't beed decorated for Christmas yet.
