I was just stumbling around the DreamHost webblog, being a recent Dreamhost customer myself (and probably earning Lissa $90) and found the above post. It shows how sites like hosting-review.com scam the users into clicking through and signing up for the hosting, and earning the reviewer sites' tons of money.

Thanks Dreamhost for exposing the scam!

Ahh, yeah, I read that :x Whenever I go to any "hosting review" sites, I make sure to read the comments by individual users.. although who knows if THOSE are planted too! :lol: The guys at Dreamhost are great, so I'm not surprised they busted open a scam like this.

Yeah, it's amazing! 200gb for $7.95? Minus $10 (LISSA06 promo)? Wow! It's amazing, and my site's not slow nor does it appear to be down. Plus, $97 per referral? It's completely amazing. In fact, your site has only been offline/slow once (when I was online)!

So what plan are you on Lissa, just out of curiousity? I'm on "Crazy Domain Insane", and I've been on it for two weeks.
