Whats the advatages of div tags??? Like what do they do and stuff?

div is a container area. many people use them to contain a section of images or text and stuff, then they use css to position that section in a specific spot on the web page.

a div is transparent, unless you fill in a bgcolor. So that's kinda good :) you don't need to mess with transparency codes.
