Right now, I have a .nu domain with my host being Gearhost.com. I pay extra for the domain at a different site and get 10gb bandwidth [which I hardly use any of so I'm good with that] but only 100mb space, which i'm almost out of and I need more. I love my domain but since .nus usually cost more, I want one that I can get with my host. So, I'm considering using either powweb.com [45gb/mo bandwidth, 650mb space, for 7.77 a month] or siteflip.com [the Cpanel Developer package, 500mb space and 8gb bandwidth, for 4.95 a month]. I also need subdomains. With powweb I get a free domain, but I don't know if I get any subdomains with it. With SiteFlip I have to pay 8.88 a year for a domain and get unlimited subdomains. Basically, does anyone know which I should use, because it seems that powweb is more well-known, but siteflip is cheaper, and also, whether or not Powweb lets you have subdomains? Thank you for your help in advance and if you have any more hosting options please let me know!! =)

Hi,
I've just been doing a WHOLE bunch of reasearch the last few days (My dad's considering getting a domain and all for our whole family... well mostly me :D)
So anyway here's what i've found.
Lunarpages.com is my favorite so far, they give you 500mb and 20GB for $7.95 a month. Set up is free (i'm not sure if thats if you pay for the whole year or not... one of them was that). They support audio (a must for me) and you get one free domain. To add on another domain it's $2.50mo (up to three domains in total). They have FTP access, and toll free telephone support, and I just looked up, you get 15 subdomains. Take a look at http://www.lunarpages.com/hosting.html for more info.
Another one I liked was ipowerweb.com, 500mb, 30GB, $7.95mo. Set up is free if you pay for the whole year. Free domain, and a whole bunch of other things. They don't mention anything about extra domains or subdomains. Check out their site at http://www.ipowerweb.com/products/index.html
There are TONS of others out there so take a look around before making your final decision. I've bairly looked at all, and i've found quite a few that are "almost" what I want.
Anyway I hope that's helped.

PS All prices are in american dollars
as to ipowerweb and subdomains...
We allow up to 3 redirects or sub-domains per account. There is a one time fee of $10 per domain to be setup as a pointer or sub-domain. This is an additional service and can be requested and setup after you have an account with us.

Thank you both VERY much! I was up all night last night at http://webhostingtalk.com looking for a host, and I decided to drop PowWeb, because most people said they were horrible. I think I'm going to probably use Lunarpages.com thanks to you! I checked and there wasn't one bad review about them. I also considered IPowerWeb and there were quite a few bad reviews about them also, but they were preferred over PowWeb. Thanks a lot for both of your help, and I hope you find a host that's right for you, Jana :)
Now my next problem... will my dad even LET me switch hosts?!
