You can block IP addresses from veiwing your site. How do you find out what the persons IP is?

You could get it if the person filled out some sort of form on your site that logs IP addresses, ie an e-mail form or comments system. Not sure if there are any other ways, but I think this has come up on the forum before so you could try searching for it.

if your site has some kind of stat counter, it probably logs ip addys. I know geocities wont show you ip's, but sitemeter will, and most other hosts' statistics will too. So you can look there for all the ip's that visit your site. Don't ask me how to tell which one belongs to who, though, cause i have no idea.

Through an e-mail form, the IP will be sent as well as the message if the script will record IPs. In a commenting system there's usually some sort of 'admin' area where you can edit/delete entries, and also view IP addresses there.
