i want to make a layout. and i want to be able to have clickable text on the background. but im not sure how to do so. if anyone knows what i'm talking about...can you help? thanx

If you mean a link.. which would make it so when you click on the word it goes to another web page.. then you want this:

<a href="http://the website you will go to when you click the word here>The words that you can click here</a>

I don't really understand what you are trying to say... the only type of "clickable text" are links. If you are talking about linking around your own site... well, yeah, that's a link too...
