Everytime I try something new concerning layouts and what-not I always find myself in a pool full of confusion. I really want someone to show me how to imagemap the navigation on this "layout". I really don't understand it. I looked it up on this site and tried it out but its not coming out the way it's suppose to.
I just want to know what to do to make this navigation active, if you catch my drift. I hope I am being clear. If not, then I'll try to rephrase it in a way so you'll understand it. Here's how the so-called layout looks like:IMAGE (http://www.freewebs.com/hiddenshadow/Image5.jpg)
looks like you would use that image as the background image.
to make an image map, you'd need to create a normal image to use that would not be in the background.

I use Adobe ImageReady for my image maps, I find it's really easy to do on there.

so your saying the image that i have already but without the navigation, to use that as my background image? And then I need to make another image for the navigation, you know challenges, entries, etc. That's what your saying right?

ImageReady comes paired with Photoshop. :)
If you need a free image mapper, you can try this: http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Web_Authoring/Image_Mapping_Tools/Handy_ImageMapper.html
I've never used it, but it looks good. And, it's free. :D
