Hi Prdmex and Shaynaa,

The biggest problem with the putting a banner on top of a MySpace profile is that it violates MySpace’s Terms of Use by blocking advertisements. MySpace could delete your account by doing this.

If, however, you would like to place a banner just above your name, you could try using Mike Davidson’s script in CSS, which you can download off of his blog page. the link is titled: “DOWNLOAD: Sample CSS and images (zip file)”

http://www.mikeindustries.com/blog/archive/2006/04/hacking-myspace-layouts

Note: After reading some of the comments left under his article, however, I noticed that some of the initially successful users who tried Mike Davidson’s template ended up getting their accounts deleted by MySpace, or got locked out of their own accounts. So I guess it is touch-and-go when you decide to play with the default MySpace profile page, and not stick to MySpace rules.

Also, note: sometimes the CSS script works fine in Firefox, but screws up in IE, (tables and graphics widen) and other times it is the other way around.

Good luck, xx dee
