If two sites were going to combine, join together how would that be? Would one person upload their things from their site to the other person's server? I'm curious because my site and another site want to combine but I'm kind of confused on what to do, lol. I have a feeling that it might be that one person would upload all their stuff to the other person's server , but I just want to make sure. Am I right?

To combine two sites, I'm guessing, would be to combine codes. Like if Neopets and Google, for example, were to combine, Google might add a login section for Neopets users and Neopets might add a Google search or some special code from Google. I don't think the files merge onto another server. I'm guessing though, I've never heard of this before.

Yes, essentially, it sounds like you would combine both of your sites together. Like, take the main elements of the other site, and add them onto your site. And if you already have a page or something like that on your site, then just add their stuff into your page.

For example, you have a photo gallery and the other site has a photo gallery. Instead of linking to two different galleries, you take the pictures from the other gallery and add them to your server and upload them to your gallery.

It's similar to the way you merge layers in Photoshop-- you just take all of the similar elements and combine them, and whatever is unique can stay its own. But, yes, you'll probably have to pick either one server or the other to stay on [probably the one with the most space and bandwidth ;)].
