Ive just draw an image that explains where and with what exactly I need help. Im a neebie and don't know much about this stuff, but really want to customize my lj. So if you have any additional questions and/or can't understand what Im trying to say with my picture, please ask here!

#3 is just a small background image that repeats itself... that's why you see the shadowing effect throughout down the entire page, but really, it's just like a couple of pixels in width.
