OKAY UM I HAVE A LAYOUT GRAPHIC AND ITS LIKE A MAPPED ONE(IMAGE MAPPING) BUT I NEED TO MAKE IT TO WHERE WHEN IT LOADS IT DOESNT TAKE A LONG TIME.SO DO ANYBODY KNOW A SITE THAT CRUNCHES LAYOUTS TO LESS BYTES.I NEED A SITE FOR BMP. GRAPHICS.PLEASE HELP ME OUT I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT !!

Well, you can try converting it to a different type of graphic. Also, you can cut the image up into other images, and then put the files together on your site. That won't save space, but all of the images will load at one time, instead of waiting for that one big image to load.

DON'T USE .BMP'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They're HUGE and take half of forever to load. For layout graphics I'd use .gifs.

okay ill try to convert it into a gif. then.will it load faster if i do?

a .gif should definitely load faster, though i find a .jpg works well too

I was told that .png takes a very long time to load.

.gif = minor page elements (borders, backgrounds)

.jpg = major page elements (banners ect.)

.png = when in need of high res pics

.bmp = NEVER use these on a website, this format is useless in every possible way.

thats probably best to stick with, using to many gifs looks bad - and using to many jpgs and pngs takes to much time for the poor 56ker (though in Photoshop (i dont know about that PSP proggy) you can adjust the quality levels in a jpg, therefore adjust the size)
