I put a BG image on my er, site. -If you can call it that- and you know how on yuor desktop BG you get the choice to make it all centered out or make it tiled or whatever you like? Yeah, well, my site BG is set to Tile permanently and I don't know how to fix it. >> Can someone tell me how to fix it?

Also, does anyone know of a HTML site that's better than FreeWebs?'I've only been using it for a few hours and it's already ``````` me off. D<

Cheers,

Oh! One more thing, I'm trying to upload a BG that my friend made for me a while back it's not working becasue the file is 2.1MB and FreeWebs will only let me upload 750KB or something like that nad it's ``````` me off. Does anyone know how I can fix it so that the image isn't so big? Or shall I just find a different place to host my site? ^^;

Cheers,
Izzie <3

I'm afraid that our community message board doesn't have quite the responsiveness of a real-time chat, Izzie. You'll often need to wait more than 24 minutes for a reply, but with patience, you'll usually receive some helpful advice. Though I understand we all recall things after our original posts, please try to refrain from multiple consecutive posts in the interim. Also, just a hint: a website with the amount of webcrawler traffic that LEIA receives isn't the best place to post your e-mail address if you have any concerns whatsoever about keeping your spam count low. :)

To control the display of your background, you will need to use the background properties of CSS (http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_background.asp).

2.1 MB is a very large image. That, you will want to either resize or save with a lossy compression format like JPEG to reduce its filesize without significantly affecting it's quality. To do either, you will need an image editing program like The GIMP (http://gimp.org) (which is free) or Photoshop.
