okay how (if i even can) can i set up a forum like the one here on lissa's site?

I have bravenet and have seen the forums there but, well they ^^^^... lol... and are nothing like this one...

I have my own domaine and all that but I am hosted on a geocities server, so thats why I'm not sure if I can even do it, I know I have seen around the boards here about the limitations on geocities. but I really want a well oranized forum, the one through bravenet is like just one big long list of post with no oranization.

first find out what sripting languages you can use- I believe you must be on a paid plan in order to use a domain name? I'm not sure what those plans support.

then search the forum. TONS of forums have been brought up, so you should be able to find one that uses the languages you have access to.

okay that was me last night after I did what dude said and went to see what Geocities will support.... i guess you could say i took the bad news a lil hard and probly a lot more extream then i should have i mean really its only a forum but i was crushed and wanted to curl up and cry... that was the big jumbo sized main feature of my upcoming site, really whats a site with out having good interaction for its visitors...

the only scripting thing i could find for geocities was if i wanted to pay over 20 bucks a month for my site i could get php enabled... um no sorry think i will stick with my 8 bucks thank you very much !

i should probly find a new host but i like geocities (yeah i have a mental problem but its okay really it is ... no its not... yes it is... no its not ... yes it is .....) *grrr dang voices again, they can never agree* but anyway... the reason i am writing all this is cause i found a little tiny hiden secret on the web...

it took a lot of differnet search terms and sum yelling crying and cursing but I found a site where you can make forums like this but they are hosted on they're server not your own and they are free... they seem to be an up-and coming site not all the features are as advanced or as secure as I would like,... like you cant lock a thread, lil things like that... but for now i am happy =o)

well if u would like to make a forum like this one you need an ftp like lycos has...i dont have vbulletin but i have phpbb2.0.5 and thas almost like vbulletin..but anyway i just made mine and i am still working on it..cuz i did it all yesterday and today..
