I use Terragen, iTux. If you learn how to use it, you can create amazing terrains! It's free, and they're going to come out with another version soon that's going to be 10 times more realistic and allow you to have vegetation. I'm O.K. with the program, but some people make AWESOME scenes!

I was able to recently download the program -- and this morning, took a dive, and created the following image (Dada-Flux Ring and Drum)

I also manipulated the original .png image in the GIMP and with filters from IrfanView -- I think this program, SketchUp, will really help me visualize and interact with sculptural forms much better. (I tend to like to describe images in a flat, 2-D decorative space.)
