My "Next 5" button on the right side of my Xanga page has dissapeared....help please!!!

Did you do any changes to your layout that may have caused it to be covered?

I created a new layout....and apparently I deleted the button.

what should that code look like? where (iny my layout code) should it be?

I don't use Xanga so I am do not know what the next five is suppose to look like (in the code) However this link http://www.createblog.com/scripts/index.php?type_id=7 some Xanga scripts that might help you to get that missing code replaced.
