Does anyone know how to make an entry private or password protected on Wordpress?

Which version are you using? I'll explain for 2.0.3 (should be the same in 2.whatever).

Go to write your post as you would normally do. On the right, along with categories and a few other options, there should be "Password-Protect Post". Just enter the password of your choice there and publish your post.
