View Full Version : Hurry up Rowling!
Scottishchick 07-08-2006, 08:29 PM I just read Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince for the 2nd time and now I'm desperate to read the 7th book! Its supposed to be coming out next year and I don't know about anyone else but I can't wait that long! :grouch:
Especially now shes said 2 main characters are going to die!!!!!!! :scared:
Arwen 07-08-2006, 08:36 PM OOO! The last HP book I read was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I'm not into Harry Potter so much, I'm into LOTR! :hehe: Nah, just kidding... :lolo:
neonick5647 07-08-2006, 09:17 PM Lol, I'm on like page 100 of the 5th book, (I have all 6 in hardcover!!) so I don't really mind waiting because it will be out by the time I finish these next two!
tokyo bleu 07-08-2006, 10:26 PM Meh, I don't know. My hype for Harry Potter has seriously dwindled. Before the 5th book, I read the 1st - 4th books many multiple times. The 5th book seriously did not impress me at all (thank goodness the 6th was so much better). I couldn't bring myself to read it more than twice. I'll of course read the 7th in one sitting when it comes out, but I doubt I'll ever be rereading Harry Potter again.
I can't wait for it either... except when it's out what if there's no more? :scared:
neonick5647 07-08-2006, 10:37 PM Well, all good series must end sometime! :(
Lissa 07-08-2006, 11:27 PM I can't wait for the 7th book either, just to find out how it all ends up. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that the 5th book was extremely disappointing, though the 4th was my absolute favorite.. the fifth book seemed very rushed and out of place :confusion
I don't know if I can wait for another year
Scottishchick 07-08-2006, 11:58 PM I didn't like the fith one that much but I love the third. That was the best books shes ever written! In my opinion anyway...
Joseph Witchard 07-09-2006, 12:46 AM Most everyone I know seems to disagree with me, but I think the dream Harry had on his first night at Hogwarts (Malfoy, Snape, And Quirell's turban) is going to end up tying in with books six and seven.
Angelica 07-09-2006, 01:37 AM Which dreams? I think those were all regarding events in the first book though.
I still want to know if Snape can be a good guy. I had hopes he would really be good all along, and then he goes and....well you know what he did. (Don't want to spoil anything for anyone.)
Can't wait til book 7 either. I've been a fan since the beginning.
amyaurora 07-09-2006, 01:42 AM Best things come to those who wait.

I think Dumbeldore told him to do what he did so I think hes still good! And Malfoy too.

You remember, Harry's first dream at Hogwarts. In the dream, Harry was in Professor Quirrel's turban. It was telling him that he must transfer to Slytherin, that it was his desitiny. The more he told it no, the heavier it got. Malfoy was standing there, lauging at him. Then, Malfoy turned into Snape. There was a flash of green light, cold high pitch laughter, then he woke up, sweating. When he awoke next morning, he didn't remember it at all.
I think this dream will play significance in the last book, because I haven't seen it play any in the current books.
Scottishchick 07-09-2006, 06:34 PM For some reason I think the Mirror of Erised will play a part, because harry seen his family. I don't know why, I just think there is more to it than we actually found out.

That's what my mom thinks. :D
iGeek 07-10-2006, 06:50 PM I'm personally on my 42nd time reading Half-Blood Prince. Ron and Hermione are probably gone, sad to say.
The movie Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix(sp?) is coming out in July of 2007. And much to my suprise Dan, Emma, and Rupert are coming back! Yay! Dan was never a good emotional person though.
