I'm looking HOW to make one... like you know... the coded ones~ i dont want to steal other people's and put it up..:scared:i'd be jocking!:scared: and i still need to learn how to put up layouts on my xanga...:blush:

Making one is easy-kinda. You're gonna need a CSS Stylesheet and you'll have to know HTML. It's simple if you stick to simple designs first. I started with layouts with a nice background like the sky or something.
This was my very first layout:

Anyway, play around and see what you can come up with. When you're done with the layout and want to add it so others can use, sign up at Xanga for a new account and use this text box code to put your layout code in there:

Be sure to put a credit somewhere on your layout where nobody can remove it, just in case somebody tries to steal your layout and claim it as their own. ;)

yea, u helped me a lot, yet... when ever i try to make a layout, the picture either doesnt fit, or repeats too much. And MOST of my pictures are bitmap, and... a lot of resizulators dont suport bmp.... know any sites? and worst of all... i have no idea what a Css Stylesheet is, do i have to download it or buy it?:scared: ... I know HTML pretty well, so one down!:)

Do you have a graphics/image program you could use to just simply save your pictures in another format (like .JPG or .GIF)? A program like IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com/) just might suit your imaging needs very well.

yayy! but..like the first website that i have put down in the first post in this thread (again, please be patient if it doesnt come out) People say that i have to have that amount of xanga to make the amount layouts i want to make for people to use them... is that true? Ex) if i wanted to make 10 layouts for people to use... do i need 10 xangas?

Yes, if you wanted to make 10 layouts and wanted each layout to have it's on xanga. (Example, they click on the first layout and see the xanga with the layout they clicked on and a text box with the code for it.)

If you didn't want to make so many Xanga sites, you could always do a screenshot of what the layout would look like and then have the code for it below the screenshot. If you wanted to do this, you'd have to put up the layout on a Xanga site and then press "Print Screen" (it should be on your keyboard next to F12) and go to a photo program or paint and resize it-so it won't take up so much space. :)

It provides the whole code, and all you have to do is edit it. I advise for you to start on a plain layout ^^
