Ok I have been doing PSP and PS for about three years now and yet I still cant get a crystal clear Transparent GIF graphic. I have played with all the settings and I either get a white Hallo/Border or Black around my graphic. Can someone help me? Is there anyway POSSIBLE to turn off the Optimization at all. I have tried just about every program out there and I still cant get it. Please help. Is there anyway I can add a thumbnail of a sample PSP image and then what happened after I tried to save it as a GIF?

How exactly are you creating your transparent GIFs?

Well I make them in PSP most of them are not animated but they still turn out like crap instead of looking good they look jagged or if a tag I make is misted it turns out with a halo. I have tried the settings but that doesnt work. Is there anyway to turn it off?? Or a program that I can save a GIF that doesnt use any type of optimization?

Hmm, I can create transparent GIFs in PSP just fine. Could I see a screenshot of what the transparent GIF looks like/the process you use to make the GIFs transparent?

Use the "magic wand" to make it transparent in PSP, copy it and paste it into Animation Shop and save as GIF, it will be transparent.

I have played with all the settings to get it to work but it is like once it hits the opimization it messes it all up. I need it transparent for a stat I am making. I have had this problem for my web site as well. It has stopped me from making my dream skins and that bothers me. For some reason my IMG tags r not working. Let me know if you cant see my Picts.

In PSP did you promote the layer to a background before you used the magic wand to make transparent?

Theres no pict there. If I promote it to background then it will turn white and not stay on a transparent background

I deleted the picture when I didn't get a reply.
