Hello people of LEIA. There are two things I need help on.

Firstly, where can I find those pretty vector/silhouette butterfly brushes for Photoshop? I'm using Photoshop 6.0 so image packs for the earlier versions would be great! Here's an example image:

Secondly, can anybody point out on how to use the pen tool in Photoshop to create vectors, smooth curves, etc? A link to a good tutorial would be nice :)

That's all. Thanks in advance.

Here is a tutorial for the pen tool: http://www.thegoldenmean.com/technique/pen1.html It goes through all of the basics of the tool and teaches how to use it.

As far as silhouette brushes go, I couldn't find any, but I did find these butterfly brushes for PS6: http://www.photoshopbrushes.com/brushes/29.htm

You could always use that picture you posted [or find a bigger picture of a silhouette butterfly] and create your own PS brush: http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/photoshop/l/bllps507ex9.htm

Wow. The link to the tutorial is very detailed. That's just exactly what I need. thank you very much :)

And, I'm going to take your advice. I'm going to make my own silhouette butterfly brushes using the butterfly brushes you suggested and the techniques taught in the tutorial.

Thanks again. You're a great help!
