View Full Version : is it so much to ask
Bebe x Baby Luv 06-26-2006, 03:34 AM that people just type right. adding 3's instead of e's and x's instead of o's is really irritates...just don't understand why some insist on going out of they're way to type incorrectly anymore
who isn't spelled "hu" like isn't spelled "lyk"

Bebe x Baby Luv 06-26-2006, 03:42 AM ahah very funny ;D
tokyo bleu 06-26-2006, 04:46 AM Sorry, but I find your complaint about this extremely ironic.

That is ironic, but I agree it is annoying. Nothing you can do about it anyway.

Is it so much to ask that people can just type with proper grammar and spelling? When they put 3's instead of e's and x's instead of o's really irritates me. I just don't understand why some people don't even try to type correctly anymore.
'Who' isn't spelled 'Hu', and 'Like' isn't spelled 'lyk'.
Yeah, I don't like people talking like that either, but you should learn how to type properly before criticizing someone else's bad typing.
Bebe x Baby Luv 06-27-2006, 02:41 AM sorry "they're" should be "their"
yea ironic i know i was stupid when i young
Angelica 06-27-2006, 03:05 AM that people just type right? adding 3's instead of e's and x's instead of o's is really irritates...(I) just don't understand why some insist on going out of they're way to type incorrectly anymore
who isn't spelled "hu" like isn't spelled "lyk"

Of course, then someone could argue that it really irritates them when someone doesn't capitalize or use the correct grammatical structure in their sentences. Online, grammar isn't as important, especially in forums and chat rooms. The point is to be faster and more effecient instead of grammatically sound. :P Don't be angry about that; it's too small to waste so much emotion.
Bebe x Baby Luv 06-27-2006, 01:03 PM alright maybe i should've just said "spelling" because that is actually what i meant not just typing in general and i also never said anything about it just being on lissa's forum, or any forum at all
i whuz tahlken 'bowt pE0pL hU tyP3 p@Ruhgrahfz lyk3 diZ eNd dey Uhr EvEryWheRr
so now i know better for next to time to explain what i mean, better
Arwen 06-27-2006, 03:15 PM Can you show me a thread where you saw someone typing like that?
Lissa 06-27-2006, 03:54 PM Calm down, guys, she was just saying it bothers her, no arguments please :P
neonick5647 06-27-2006, 05:53 PM  lol, this is pretty entertaining. No hard feelings, I hope? Lol...
Owlie42 06-28-2006, 06:11 AM That does get me. Yes, it makes typing faster, but it makes life much harder for people accustomed to reading standard English. I'm not sure about how much faster it makes the process of communication, then. :D
Bebe x Baby Luv 06-28-2006, 05:29 PM Can you show me a thread where you saw someone typing like that?
of course i see a few here and there and it's obvious by the how the titles are typed you can tell how the poster spells...but if you read what i wrote in the thread i just posted, i never directed that to lissa's forum or any forum at all.
and neonick no hard feelings to anyone at all
it was just my opinion.
i meant in general, livejournals, profiles, personal sites that would be alot more attractive if they'd just spell correctly. i didn't think i needed to explain it that much in debth without people taking it the wrong way. but i apparently i did have to. i did make it sound alittle harsher than it really was, but it bothered me alot at the time, obviously enough for me to post a thread about it. it's all over now. alright this topic is done have a good day :waves:
PunchbagBob2 07-01-2006, 11:31 PM lyk, it is fun
