It was on this forum in which I found a smiley code for HTML. IT was basically if you type some smiley text such as : ) in your HTML doc; you would get a picture of a smiley when you view your page in a browser.

[Of course you/site owner would supply all of the smiley pictures]

I have been trying to find that code again but I can't find it:mad: ! if anyone knows where I can find it or what page its on the forum, please reply!

EXAMPLE: This forum or when you click on new thread and want to put a smiley in your doc, for a waving smiley you would put [w/out spaces] : w a v e s : and you would get :waves:

Make sure your host supports PHP.

No it doesnt.... But it was HTML im completely sure of it, not php bu thanks for the help....

You won't be able to do such a thing with pure HTML. There was probably a PHP script working in the background.
