View Full Version : Saving transparents in PS OR PSP?

I've been trying to make little arrows and other images and make them transparent but it's not working.

In PSP I tried making a new transparent image and save it as a .gif, but when I tested it to see if it was transparent it had a white background. I haven't tried in PS yet, but if anyone can help or tell me how to save them w/ transparency I will appreciate it sooo much!! In PS or PSP ... doesn't matter ;)

Transparency in PSP (this is for PSP 9, but it should work in other versions):

File->Save As. The Save As window should pop up. Select GIF as the type to save as, then click on the Options button at the bottom of the window. Then go to Run Optimizer, which will be at the bottom of the Options pop-up window. Then, in the Transparency tab, select Areas that Match this Color at the bottom and pick the color you want to be transparent.

As for Photoshop, I'm too lazy to boot it up myself, so just follow one of these tutorials:
