ftp server = ftp.yourdomain.com
local temp folder = probably the folder where you store the temp images or something.

i don't know what the remote path is

What sort of error are you getting and when are you getting it?

I had troubles with SCWebcam2 (link: http://tursi.yiffco.com/cgi-bin/onesoft.cgi?4 it also has a picture of the config right there if anyone needs it ).. when I had to configure it.

Remote path is like /public_html/folder/images/ it's the path to the folder on your site you want your file uploaded into.

Local Temp Folder like C:\Documents and Settings\Blah\
- You can go to My Computer/My Documents, find the foler, and copy the link from the top of the window, I believe

Errors. You may want to check/uncheck Passive FTP if you see it, and check to see if your 'remote path' folders exist, if they dont you need to create them. If you have a subdomain, your username might be name@domain.com, and check your pw.. but if you can connect to your ftp that's the info you use.

Did that fix it?

sometimes it will actually take a screen shot and other times it will just be all fuzzy but the error always comes up after it refreshes--"error attempting to connect to servor! Error 12007" whatever that means and i tried everybody's advice but i'm still lost. and why do you have to make a new folder in your ftp thing called desktopcam??

To display the image you take the file path (http://www.yourdomain.com/remote/path/folder/image.jpg but don't include puclic_html if that's part of it).

If its fuzzy you need to adjust the quality, resize, or thumb of the image.. I believe it's always just a little fuzzy.

The folder doesn't have to be called desktopcam, unless it's something in the program that you can't change. Just create any folder you want, and include it in the remote path (you can see the remote path in your ftp program, above your file lists).

The error might be in the port number next to your ftp server (ftp.domain.com). I think the default port is 21, you might need to change it to that? That's about all I can think of.. I tried messing up my cam to get that error but I couldn't find what it was.

i think just the main problem i'm having is with the remote path and the local temp folder. i'm still not absolutely sure what it should be??? i think i'm gonna give up though cuz this is too confusing and since that error never wants to go away, it's pointless.

The local temp folder doesn't matter at all, you can just leave that one the way it is, or set it to C:\. For the remote path, have you tried just leaving it blank? I had problems when I put the path in, and when I left it blank it worked.
